Film critic and Professor of the Division of Theater & Film at SungKyul University in Korea. She received degrees in Cinema Studies from NYU and Dongguk University. She is the academic director of the Korean Cinema Association, the committee of EBS International Documentary Film Festival and Women’s Right Film Festival in Seoul, and serves as a jury member of various film festivals including the Busan International Film Festival. She is the co-author of Bong Joon Ho Code (Medibooks, 2021) and The Korean Cinema Book (BFI, 2021), and the translator of Film Craft: Production Designer (Focal Press, 2012) and The Matrix of Visual Culture (Stanford University Press, 2003) as well as other works.

She majored in Interactive Media Design at HanYang University. She directed TensioN(2011), The Man with a Plaster Cast(2012), and Mira’s Will(2013). She was given the Sonje Award for Short Film competition in Busan International Film Festival for Shame Diary(2015).

Bang Minah, who showed her potential as an actor with her screen debut Holly, faithfully established her filmography regardless of genres, including films, dramas and musicals. Last year, she proved to be an actor who will lead the new wave of the Korean film scene by winning Best New Actor awards at home and abroad for her amazing performance in the film, Snowball in 2021.

Lee Gasub

Lee Gasub debuted with the film, Social Service Agent in 2011. Starting with short films, he has accumulated solid filmography by appearing in a number of films, and was recognized for his talent by winning the Best New Actor Award at the 55th Daejong Film Awards in 2017 for the film, the Seeds of Violence. Since then, he has appeared on tvN’s Secret Forest 2 and Jiri Mountain and has been active on screens and TV shows.

Gwon Churl

After graduating from university, Kwon Churl started to film the performances of musicians with his friends. He has still filmed the things until now. His film Live Planet Season 2 was shown at JIMFF(2011). Atmosphere, HAWAAII - Welcome shown in Music Videos Competition Section at SXSW(2012). He got the Promotion Grand Prix of Korea Advertising Awards with Slow Road in 2021.

Choi Gonne

Gonne Choi, who pioneered her unique genre with her octal tone and singing style with an acoustic sound, debuted with her first EP 36.5˚C in October 2010. She is introduced as "Joni-folk", Choi’s own genre named after the legendary Canadian singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell. Based on acoustic sound, her special talent blurs boundaries between genres, including folk, rock, jazz, and Korean traditional music. Her sincere voice covers from solo to band sound.

He made a debut with a feature Sunshine Love in 2015. In 2021, A Tale of Old Cities, a feature documentary on urban regeneration was completed and it was selected for the DMZ Docs and the Seoul IEFF. Currently Romantic Factory, his second feature film is being completed and prepared for the theatrical release.

Malo

Malo who is called "Queen of Scat", "Korean Ella Fitzgerald", has been acclaimed as the most artistic and the most Korean-style jazz vocalist. She also composes, arranges, and produces, and has also opened up a new jazz genre which combined Korean traditional music. Her 3rd album 'Cherry Blossoms are Gone', released in 2003, achieved unprecedented success as a jazz musician in Korea.

Im Ingun

Im Ingun, who started his career in 1987 with folk musician Cho Dong-jin, worked as a jazz player in 1988 at the jazz club Janus, collaborating with Lee Pangeun, Kim Sooyeol, and Kang Daekwan, the first generation of Korean jazz. He released his first piano solo album in 1989 and has been playing jazz based on band Yata along with guitarist Jeong Jaeyeol. He established himself as a jazz pianist with his 2004 album Tree Became a Piano, and his jazz has a simple beauty that has not lost its acoustic feature. Currently, he formed a band Atman with young performers. He released the album 'Janus The Reminiscence' (the present of the memory of Janus), for gratitude to club Janus for him to walk the path of jazz, and with the respect of Park Seong-yeon, the first generation of jazz, and her song 'The Wind Blows' was also played as the ost of the documentary Diva Janus.

Hwang Deokho hosts the KBS radio program Classic FM Jazz Note and also produces and hosts the Youtube channel Hwang Deokho’s Jazz Loft. Recently he published the book Attic Jazz, which is a compilation of records about jazz. He managed a jazz album shop for ten years and wrote five books and translated four books.
