This year’s official ambassador of the Jecheon International Music & Film Festival, JIMFFACE 2025, is actor Kang Haneul.
Kang Haneul is a beloved Korean actor known for his subtle emotional performances and warm on-screen presence. Spanning across film, television, theatre, and musicals, his career showcases impressive versatility and range. His notable works include Twenty(2015), Dongju: The Portrait of a Poet(2016), Midnight Runners(2017), Forgotten(2017), Curtain Call(2022), Squid Game Season 2(2024), Squid Game Season 3(2025), as well as musicals such as Thrill Me(2009), Shinheung Military Academy(2018), and Harold and Maude(2015).
His talents have been recognized with numerous accolades, including the Best Actor Award at the 56th Baeksang Awards for When the Camellia Blooms, the Best Actor Award at the 21st Chunsa Film Festival, and honors at the 35th Golden Cinematography Awards.
Widely known for his deep affection for music, Kang expressed his thoughts on being selected as this year’s official ambassador:
