Festival Identity
The official symbol of JIMFF is a woodblock print by artist LEE Chul-soo, who has lived and worked in Jecheon for many years.
This artwork symbolizes the natural elements of Jecheon-its lakes, winds, and mountains-and has long represented the festival¡¯s identity and philosophy. Rooted in a practice of reflection and mindfulness, the artist conveys the emotions of place and nature through the medium of printmaking.
The piece harmonizes oriental lyricism with modern simplicity, visually expressing both the spirit of Jecheon and the aesthetic direction of the festival. The Korean and English titles of the Jecheon International Music & Film Festival, carved into the woodblock, are designed with calligraphic strokes and restrained geometric lines, serving as a core visual motif that embodies the festival¡¯s philosophy and artistic identity.
