Jecheon Music Film Project Promotion (JPP) is designed to encourage Korean music film production and to discover and support music filmmakers.

From 2008 to 2011, JPP supported the production of a total of six projects. It was resumed in the year of 2017 and JPP has supported the production & post-production of a total 17 projects until last year. In 2020 and 2021, when the pandemic situation began, the JPP fund was expanded to 50 million won to support the creation of music films practically and consistently. In 2018, Trip of Blues and Super Disco were introduced to the audience, and in 2019 Shining Ground and Viva la Vida were screened, and My $330 Guitar and Better place were as well in 2020. Last year, Song of the Poet and Oral Tradition Song were screened in the Korean Competition section, solidifying the identity of Korea’s only music film production support.

2022 Jecheon Music Film Production Promotion(JPP) is open to the feature-length films being planned or produced, in all genres including drama, documentaries, and animations, if music is mainly themed or music is centered on communication with the audience.

Among all projects submitted, 6 or less feature-length projects will be selected by the preliminary selection committee, and on August 14,2022 they will have a pitching event to introduce their projects to the public audience and the final selection committee. The final selection committee will select the feature-length projects which will receive KRW 50 million and KRW 30 million each. The final results will be announced at the closing ceremony of the 18th Jecheon International Music & Film Festival.
