Mike Figgis President of the Jury

Mike Figgis burst onto the Hollywood film scene as the director and music director of Internal Affairs(1990), starring Richard Gear. He was nominated for two Academy Awards for Leaving Las Vegas(1996), for which Nicolas Cage won the Academy Award for Best Actor. Currently, he is working on a feature Mother Tongue in Hong Kong and is preparing for Shame.

 

Seonah Kim

Seonah Kim is a producer. She is currently an associate professor of Dankook University and Vice chairperson of Korean Film Council. She has worked as a producer on many films, including One fine spring day(2001), Save the green planet!(2003), Rikidosan(2004), VR film Bloodless(2017).

 

Kim Hong-joon

 Kim Hong-joon is currently a director of the Korean Film Archive and a professor emeritus at the Korea National University of Arts. He directed A Rosy Life (La Vie en Rose)(1994) and Jungle Story(1996).

 

Anna Machukh

Anna Machukh is the Managing Director of the Odessa IFF, the executive director of Ukrainian Film Academy and co-founder of Dzygamdb. In 2011-2016, Anna worked as a director of the marketing dept. at OIFF. In 2017 she served as the director of the OIFF Film Market, and during 2018-2020, she was the director of strategic development of the festival.

Park Heung-sik

Film Director, Director of Jeonju Film Commission. After the splendid directorial debut in 2001 winning BaekSang Arts Awards for Best New Director with I wish I had a wife, Park proved his unique directing ability again with his next film, My Mother The Mermaid(2004) winning Baeksang Arts Awards for Best Director. His films include Bravo my life(2005), Sorry, Thank you(2011), Children of Heaven(2012), and Memories of the Sword(2015), Love, Lies(2016) which has won enthusiastic acclaim for its beautiful portrayal of the era with the 1940s music.

Official Competition: Korean

Korean Competition Jury will select one feature-length and one short film. The winning feature will receive a prize of KRW 15 million and the winning short film will receive a prize of KRW 5 million.​

Moon Geun-young

Moon is an actress and director who first rose to stardom through her role in the popular TV series Autumn in My Heart, followed by a critically acclaimed horror film A Tale of Two Sisters. At age 21, she became the youngest recipient of a Grand Prize at the SBS Drama Awards for the TV series Painter of the Wind.

James Junwon Bang

James teaches screenwriting and film production at The New School University in New York City. He earned MFA degree in Film Directing and Screenwriting from Columbia University and has worked on many film productions. His films have received several awards including a nomination for the 35th Student Academy Awards¢ç. He recently published a book titled Script Analysis with Focal Press-Routledge.

Shim Bo-kyoung

Produced The Contact(1997), Joint Security Area(2000), Who Are U?(2002), A Good Lawyer's Wife(2003), Hello, Brother(2004), and Bloody Tie(2006) at Myung Films. She later established BK Pictures and produced Girl Scouts(2008), Go Go 70s(2008), and Big Match(2014). She also took on the role of a director of the board at United Pictures and was involved in the production investment of various films including Jeon Woochi: The Taoist Wizard(2009), and The Man from Nowhere(2010).​
