JIMFF Live Music Talk has a chance to talk about him with a director, an actor and a music director who had collaborated with him. As listening to their movie-like stories, audiences look back.

Hur Jin-ho

Hur Jin-ho, a director, made his debut with <Christmas in August> (1998) that Han Suk-kyu and Shim Eun-ha starred. Daejong Film Awards, Blue Dragon Film Awards, Korea Gold Awards by Korean Society of Cinematographers, Baeksang Arts Awards, Korean Association of Film Critics Awards, and so on gave him prizes for the best new director, the best picture, and the best director. Later he created his genre, is called as “Hur Jin-ho melodrama,” by directing <One Fine Spring Day>, <April Snow>, <Happiness>, <A Good Rain Knows> and so on. In 2012, he directed <Dangerous Liaisons>, a Sino-Korean collaboration film. In 2016, 5.5 million audiences watched his movie <The Last Princess> that Son Ye-jin and Park Hae-il played leading roles, and Hur was awarded Korea Gold Awards for the best director. His film <Forbidden Dream>, Han Suk-kyu and Choi Min-sik acted for, is waiting for showing in the second half of the year. Hur has been the executive director of JIMFF since 2013.

Cho Sungwoo

Cho Sungwoo is a composer and music director as well as the former executive director of JIMFF. He has created film music for more than 60 films by his excellent sense and insight of music. He is the outstanding master of South Korean film music. He had received Blue Dragon Film Awards for the Best Music 2004, Daejong Film Awards for the Best Music 2011 and 2016, and Jecheon Film Music Honorary Award 2012 with the film music for <One Fine Spring Day> (2001), <When Spring Comes> (2004) and <Late Autumn> (2011).

Kim Tae-hoon

Kim Tae Hoon is a pop columnist and a TV personality who has criticized society and culture by discussing multi themes such as films, books, music, and people. Based on his sharp insight and broad knowledge, Kim has communicated with the public by his witty talk and sense of humor.  

CHOI SOOYOUNG

CHOI SOOYOUNG who starred in <Memories of a Dead End>, <Miss & Mrs. Cops> and others, is together with JIMFF. Her filmography is solid with films and dramas, as a fine actress, she communicates and shares thoughts and feelings with audiences about films and music.
