Synopsis
As Jakarta sinks and sea levels rise, Indonesia is moving its capital to Borneo, on the traditional land of the indigenous Balik people. Abidin, a Balik elder, is documenting his forest’s soundscape with the help of scientists to preserve ancestral knowledge before it’s too late.

A French-American filmmaker, she has covered stories all over the world as a video journalist and documentary producer for The New York Times, The Atlantic, and VICE News. She has won two Emmy Awards and received the Ted Scripps Fellowship in Environmental Journalism for her work.
