Synopsis
On a tiny island in Japan’s Seto Inland Sea, a family struggles to survive on barren land where water is scarce. Cultivating the soil and transporting water by their tiny boat every day, they continue their bare-handed fight against nature.

Screenwriter and director, he made his debut as a screenwriter with Nanshin Josei, and received recognition for his work on The Ball at the Anjo House. He directed Story of a Beloved Wife and A Postcard, and produced screenplays for works including Kenka Elegy, Elegant Beast, and The Wife of Seisaku.
