During the seventies, young women called ‘factory girls’ worked on sewing machines in Pyeonghwa Market instead of going to school because they were poor or because they were women. They each had big dreams as they headed for the labor classroom. There, the girls called each other by name, sang songs, and dared to hope. A letter to the youth of today from youth who lived in another era.  


Kim Jungyoung

Started working in film at HMJ Films. Became a producer with Making Sun-dried Red Peppers by Jang Hee-Sun and then produced Date, a part of the Seoul International Women’s Film Festival’s 10th Anniversary Project Ten Ten, and Two Weddings and a Funeral by Kimjho Gwang-soo. 

Lee Hyukrae

Produced, filmed, and edited numerous films from the 1990s to the 2000s. Was active at Independent Film CHUNG NYUN and taught editing at the School of Film, TV, & Multimedia at Korea National University of Arts and Mediact Media Center.  ​
