In this whimsical romantic musical, Masa hires an actress and aspiring dancer, Kanako, to pose as his fiancée to impress his estranged, ailing father. But as his father's death delays, Masa has to navigate the spiraling web of lies and learn to follow his heart. 


Masa hires an actor Kanako and introduces her to his father as his wife. He wanted to relieve the worries of his father who has been lying on the bed in the hospital. As time goes by, his lies and heart grow together more and more... Masa, a cartoon writer dreaming of a novelist, and Kanako, an actor dreaming of a dancer, will they be able to protect their careers, love, and lies? The film depicts the man and the woman exploring each other’s emotions and their lives, delivering cheerful energy to the audience with colorful music, lively dance in between. (Won Seyoung) 


Kenjo McCurtain

Kenjo McCurtain is an award-winning filmmaker who moved to Japan to pursue his craft. Kenjo has written and directed four short films. Make-Believers, a Japanese romantic musical is his feature film debut as a director.
