ELTON MEDEIROS - Or the Sun Shall Be Born is an unprecedented record by Elton Medeiros, one of the most representative composers of the Brazilian samba. He was the main partner of Paulinho da Viola, with anthological compositions with Cartola, and Zé Ketti, among others.
The most representative composer of the Brazilian samba, Elton Medeiros tells anecdotes of his childhood, youth, and work with other musicians to the singer that will perform his song. After they talk, the singer performs Elton's songs. In important moments of Elton's anecdotes, director Pedro Murad inserts reenactments or photos that capture the moment. It's unque and interesting how this documentary uses images instead of using interviews like other biopics. (Noh Kwangwoo)
