SYNOPSIS
Meet You at The Light offers a glimpse into the rich and tender day-to-day relationship between a daughter and her diabetic dad, within an immigrant South Asian household. As the eldest child and primary caregiver to her ailing father, she wears this badge with nobility and honour despite how challenging it may be to navigate her father’s mental, physical, and emotional well-being.
DIRECTOR
Alexander Farah
Alexander is an Afghan-Canadian director and editor. His editorial work has been screened at Berlinale, TIFF, Telluride, Clermont-Ferrand, and Palm Springs as well as scoring nominations for the Prism Prize, Berlin Commercial Awards, and the UK Music Video Awards. Alex’s debut directorial short film Sahar premiered at TIFF, and his most recently-directed project won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Music Video at SXSW(2022).
