PROGRAM NOTE

As kids, Jeonghwa and Jeongmin dreamed of becoming a singer and a president respectively. After marriage, Jeongmin works as a human rights lawyer, while Jeonghwa brings in extra income by teaching aerobics. Then, Jeongmin received a proposal to run for mayor of Seoul, and Jeonghwa gets a chance to debut as a singer. It’s time for them to pursue their long-forgotten dreams. Dancing Queen asserts that dreams have no expiry date. Jeonhwa tries hard to fulfil her role as the wife of a mayor candidate and a singer. (CHO Hyunna)

LEE Seokhun

Lee Seokhun graduated from the Department of Theater and Film at Hanyang University. His witty short film For The Peace Of All Mankind (1999) deals with a soldier’s encounter with a girl from the enemy line; another comical short Super Glue (2001) with a story of a salesman selling super glue – both films were well received at various film festivals. His well-known films include Dancing Queen (2012), The Pirates (2014) and The Himalayas (2015).
