A Symphony of Noise is a documentary that guides audiences to a strange and mysterious world of sound by Matthew Herbert. A revolutionary British musician and composer, he’s also known for his political work along with film music, which has continued to combine sensitive political issues with music from everyday sounds. The director recorded the process several projects of Herbert for over a decade. Herbert believes a better world can be made with careful, differentiated listening. The goal of this film is to capture his creativity supporting this idea. You will hear the world in a completely different way after watching this. (JO Jihoon)


Enrique Sánchez LANSCH

Writer and director Enrique Sánchez Lansch works on documentaries mostly related to music. His first theatrical documentary RHYTHM IS IT! (2004) on a dance project with Berlin teenagers and the Berlin Philharmonic won numerous awards. Followed by award winning  The Reichsorchester (2007), about the role of the Berlin Philharmonic in Nazi Germany. On A Symphony of Noise he worked for more than 10 years.
