Synopsis
Robert dreams of a career in music, but civil war is tearing the country apart. When both his parents are imprisoned, he is left to look after his four younger siblings while juggling daily life, odd jobs, school exams and concert stages, determined to follow his dream.

He arrived as a young child in the Central African Republic, where his parents had sought refuge due to the war. He directed We, Students!, a feature-length documentary selected for the 2022 Berlinale which won numerous awards in festivals. Congo Boy is his first feature film.
