The film shines a light on the unexpected history of a quiet Welsh farm that became a legendary studio for Rock music in use for more than fifty years. All starting with Kingsley and Charles, brothers enamored by Rock and Roll who decided to build the small studio on their farm some fifty odd years ago. Far from London, the secluded farm was converted into the first “residential” studio of its kind, bustling with the latest technology. There, many artists would go on to create groundbreaking music. Bands that fans have been enamored with for decades all discuss their time at Rockfield farm and the music inspired by this gem of a place. These include Black Sabbath, Queen, Led Zepplin, Oasis and Coldplay. (KIM Sohye)

Hannah has made nearly twenty television documentaries, mainly for the BBC, many with a historical and arts bent. As an avid music fan, she started to think about other unusual music studios here in the UK and whether their stories had all been told. So she wanted to find out what it was about this remote rural studio that attracted the biggest names in rock music.
