A lip sync musical featuring the voices of various actors including Audrey Tautou of < Amelie>. Like a Shakespearean comedy, lovers are star-crossed and tense moments constantly arise in an exciting and hilarious manner. Resnais, who has been creating works that are lighter and more cheerful since the 90s, combines a chamber play, a musical, and a film perfectly to prove his worth once again as a great director.
Born 1922 in Vannes, France. Studied at ESEC in Paris. Directed mostly documentaries in his early days and then released dozens of films like < Hiroshima Mon Amour>(1959) which marked his debut as a film director. His films contain a profound insight into sense of time and are considered the first truly modern films.
