As a German female director and writer, she studied philosophy and literature in Stuttgard, Germany and Rome, Italy and then continued her studies at the Academy for TV and Film in Munich. Having started to make films since 1991, she has been teaching screenwriting at the Ludwigsburg Film Academy since 1996.
