The 28th year of the Meiji period (1895) at a Susukino brothel where a beautiful courtesan named Kiyomi lives. This is a musical historical film about her glamorous if melancholic life. The director shows his wit and ambition in this film, which stands out for its unique images and songs.
Born in Sapporo in 1980. After graduating from high school, Ogawa travelled to the USA and studied movie production. He has produced more than 10 short and medium length films thus far. In 2006 < Revenge-A-Go-Go> was screened at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival. That same year, he participated in < Udon> as supervising director. Presently he is focusing on production of films in Sapporo.
