Toni Riff, a Bosnian rock star back in the 1980s, came to Slovenia during the war in ex-Yugoslavia and married his fan, Sonia. He has been inactive for the past two decades. Sonia earns a living as a phone-sex operator. One of her clients is a hotel owner Max, offers to organize a come-back concert for the former star. Uppon arrival to the hotel, shocked by the concert announcement, Toni hides in a hotel room called after him. Sonia begs him to play, believing a concert is the only way out of his depression.
Born in Sarajevo. After graduating from Columbia University's film school in New York, he directed films which have played at festivals in Locarno, Chicago, Oberhausen, etc. Worker's Marriage won at Cracow IFF(Grand Prix) and at Melbourne IFF(Audience Prize), Walking On the Water at Strasbourg EFF(Grand Prix). Since 2005, he has live and work in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
