Drayton, a struggling musician, finally gets his shot at fame when a renowned agent, Vikki Clarke, requests Drayton to perform for her record label the next morning. Drayton agrees to compose her a new song despite the fact that Sid, his ailing grandfather, needs to be looked after constantly. Once a musician himself, Sid has hit the later stages of dementia and can no longer control his erratic temper.
