This film tracks down the mid-90s cultural changes and its movement within the society in Korea as well as the independent music scene that happened in Hongdae around the same time. Our purpose and goal is to carefully think about the role of the independent music scene in Korea and how it offers different types of music and its own unique culture.
Park Hyung-jin was born in 1987, Busan. He entered documentary field through the chance of webdocumentary pre-production. With much interest on the social effect of subculture, he participated in planning ‘Subculture: Angry Youth’ of Seoul Museum of Art and produced this film, Ournation.
