SYNOPSIS

Hyun-in, country-boy with outstanding singing talent, goes to Seoul and wins the contest, leading him to a successful career as a singer. Many ladies went after him, but he weds his lover from the countryside, Geum-nyeo. A 1949 film starring the most popular singer of the time, Hyun-in. It is considered the beginning of Korean music film.

Yu Dong-il

Yu Dong-il is a Korean director, actor and writer. In 1949, he directed the first Korean music film, <The Blue Hill> and also directed <Mother's Heyday>(1965) and <The River Knows It All>(1966).
