SYNOPSIS

Fajar Merah, 21 years old, is the son of Wiji Thukul, a poet and human rights activist that was “made to disappear” by the Soeharto Regime. After 16 years without any assurance of his father’s whereabouts, together with his band, he is trying to create a music album based on his father’s poems, as an act to show their “refusal to forget” the country's human rights violation cases.

Yuda Kurniawan is a communication studies graduate. In 2012, he established Rekam Docs, a group of documentary filmmakers. his documentary feature, has been nominated for best feature-length documentary in Indonesian Film Festival 2017 and invited to many festivals including Jogja Netpac Asian Film Festival, Singapore International Film Festival.
