In the town Obaba of Basque in Spain, David takes lessons from his accordionist father as he spends pleasant days with his friend Lubis. Then, David finds out the ill-fated relationship between his father’s past as an advocate of General Franco’s reign and Lubis’ family. David starts cooperating with the separatist organization of Basque as he gets along with his new friend, Joseba. As time passes by, the ill David writes a book of his past. It is then when his friend Joseba revisits him with the accordion of David’s father and confesses the secrets of the past. Through the accordion that symbolizes the “shameful past of David’s father,” this film portrays the tragic lives of the people in Basque.
