SYNOPSIS

Yeo-myeong, an aspiring singer, suffers from extreme poverty. After her neighbor leaves for the military, she stares at the red fire extinguisher he’d given her as she writes a song. Yeo-myeong hopes to be like the fire extinguisher—one day her talents will finally burst out of her and she too will fulfill her role. But the fire extinguisher passes its expiration date. Can Yeo-myeong make it as a singer?

Shin Seo-won has a BA in computer engineering and an MFA in media art. She has participated in various video productions in the TV and film industry, and currently works in the directing department for narrative feature films. Written by Shin, < Fire Extinguisher > is her directing debut.
