Waves of the Black Sea are crashing against the pier, the sun is shining and the sky is blue. Children’s orchestra ‘Dixie land’ is playing a march. The teacher is listening. It seems that the happiness will last forever, but growing up is inevitable. Medals and orchestral instruments are glittering in the sun, but every child has their personal destiny.
Roman Bondarchuk is a multi-award-winning documentary director who is a member of the Ukrainian National Film Union and works as art director for the International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival. Roman’s first feature length documentary film < Ukrainian Sheriffs > (2015) was nominated for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 89th Academy Awards 2017. He is now working on his first fiction film < Volcano >.
