In January 2005, Lunson traveled to Sydney to film the historic show, a tribute to Leonard Cohen at the Sydney Opera House. This film includes interviews and live performances from this event including Nick Cave, Rufus Wainwright and Jarvis Cocker etc. And in a series of candid interviews, Cohen himself reveals his trademark wry humor and soulful intensity, using his own artwork, poetry and personal collection of photographs to reflect upon his colorful past and his creative process.
Lian Lunson attended drama school in Sydney, Australia and worked for several years as an actress. In 1997, she formed her own company, Horse Pictures, and began directing her own projects. Her first film was a music video and short documentary for Willie Nelson. Lunson also collaborated with director Mel Gibson to produce and select songs for the album [Music Inspired by The Passion of the Christ].
