Edgar Froese, the pioneer of electronic music, is on a lifelong quest for the ultimate sound with his band Tangerine Dream. He processes heartbeats and breathing sounds, and experiments with synthesizers and sounds captured by NASA in space. In January 2015, he died unexpectedly leaving a legacy of 48 years of music history. The film shows previously unreleased footage shot by himself and the people close to him. A tribute to Edgar Froese and the era of electronic music.
Born in Enniger, Germany in 1964, Margarete Kreuzer studied German, journalism and psychology in Berlin and dramaturgy at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf. She has made numerous television documentaries and reports as a director and screenwriter. < Revolution of Sound, Tangerine Dream > is her first feature-length documentary.
